Council Composition and Role
The Council of the CoE is part of the governance structure and consists of up to nine members. It plays an advisory role and focuses on promoting the goals and objectives of biobank.cy at both societal and political levels.
Moreover, the Council includes individuals who are well-recognized within Cypriot society but are external to the University of Cyprus (UCY) community. The Director of biobank.cy participates as an Observer, without voting rights. Additionally, the Ambassador of Austria also participates as an Observer, without voting rights.
In order to facilitate discussions related to the operation of the CoE, other biobank.cy members may be invited to attend as Observers. This is decided by the Chairperson, based on recommendations from the Director or other Council members.

Marios Kouloumas (Honorary)

Mr. Charalambos Papadopoulos was born in Nicosia in 1963 and has extensive experience in Business Administration and Marketing. He currently serves as Sales Director at Unistat Ltd and has previously held the position of President of the Footwear and Leather Goods Association. His long-standing involvement in the field of health and patient advocacy includes 19 years as President of the Cyprus Muscular Dystrophy Association.Read More
