Το Εξωτερικό Συμβουλευτικό Συμβούλιο Ηθικής (External Ethics Advisory Board – EEAB) ασκεί έναν ανεξάρτητο ρόλο συμβουλευτικής φύσης σχετικά με τις δραστηριότητες της βιοτράπεζας, με στόχο την προστασία τόσο των συμμετεχόντων στη βιοτράπεζα όσο και των ερευνητών του Κέντρου Αριστείας. Το EEAB λαμβάνει υπόψη τους πιθανούς κινδύνους και οφέλη για την κοινότητα όπου πρόκειται να διεξαχθεί η έρευνα. Ο απώτερος στόχος του EEAB είναι να υποστηρίξει το Ακαδημαϊκό Συμβούλιο στην προώθηση υψηλών ηθικών και δεοντολογικών προτύπων στην ιατρική έρευνα που διεξάγεται στο Κέντρο Αριστείας. Το EEAB έχει εποπτικό ρόλο στη λειτουργία της Βιοτράπεζας και έχει την αρμοδιότητα να σχολιάζει και να προτείνει τροποποιήσεις στον τρόπο λειτουργίας της.

She pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom, specializing in Moral and Social Philosophy for her master’s degree and obtaining her doctorate in Moral Philosophy. Dr Oliver Feeney
Postdoctoral Researcher with a focus on ethics and governance of human genome editing.
Oliver Feeney, PhD is based in the Institute of Ethics and History of Medicine at the University of Tübingen. Working with the University of Tübingen’s ‘Ethics of Genome Editing’ Research Unit, collaborating with the Gene and RNA Therapy Centre, his primary research is on the ethical, legal, and social (justice) implications of biomedical technologies, particularly the ethics and governance of genome editing; fostering trust with participatory involvement in science and medicine, and the role of patents in the context of new technologies.Read More
